Auditory Sequence

Observe and listen to the sequence. You can use independent trials or the classic cumulative Simon mode.

? How to play

First, a sequence is presented (with lights, with sound, or both depending on the chosen modality). When it ends, repeat it by tapping the same buttons.

  1. Observe/listen to the complete sequence.
  2. If the mode is normal, repeat the same order. If it is reverse, repeat the sequence backwards.
  3. The sensory mode (visual only / visual+audio / audio only) allows you to isolate whether the error comes from visual perception, auditory, or neither.
  4. If you are not sure you understood the sequence well, use "Repeat sequence" to see/listen to it again before answering.
  5. The repetitions of the sequence (1-3) help to distinguish an initial attention failure from a real memory failure.
  6. You can adjust the number of lights, speed, rounds, cognitive mode, and whether the sequence is independent or cumulative like Simon.
